Since 2001, Rizzo Family Medicine has been dedicated to providing personalized, comprehensive medical care. What began as a traditional family medicine practice has evolved to include preventive medicine, wellness and aesthetic services, longevity medicine, and functional medicine - while maintaining the personal approach that has always been at the heart of the practice.

MDVIP Annual Wellness Program
At the center of the MDVIP Annual Wellness Program is a comprehensive annual, executive-style wellness physical, designed to provide a deeper look at your overall health, identify potential risk factors, and help guide a personalized health and wellness plan for the year ahead.
Through our affiliation with MDVIP, members receive an additional layer of preventive health and wellness services, including advanced testing from Cleveland HeartLab, enhanced screenings, comprehensive health assessments, nutritional resources, and individualized wellness planning - services that go beyond what is typically covered by traditional health insurance.
Beyond Primary Care
We strive to offer same- or next-day appointments and provide the time needed to discuss your questions, concerns, and long-term health goals, as well as direct after-hours access to Dr. Rizzo for urgent concerns.
Our practice also offers functional and longevity medicine, weight management, peptide therapy, osteopathic treatment, wellness services, and aesthetic care.

Functional & Rehabilitative Care
Our functional and rehabilitative approach looks at the whole person - not just individual symptoms. We consider medical history, lifestyle, nutrition, mobility, and other factors that may influence how you feel and function, allowing us to develop a more individualized plan that complements traditional medical care.
Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT)
Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) is a hands-on approach used to evaluate and treat musculoskeletal dysfunction. Depending on your individual needs, Dr. Rizzo may incorporate myofascial release, craniosacral techniques, and lymphatic techniques to address areas of restriction, improve mobility, and support overall function.
OMT may also be incorporated with technologies such as CELLUTONE® and EMSCULPT NEO® as part of a broader functional wellness or rehabilitation plan focused on mobility, muscle conditioning, circulation, body composition, and physical wellness.

Inpatient & Skilled Nursing Care
Continuity of Care Beyond the Medical Office
Dr. Rizzo provides physician services in both hospital and skilled nursing settings, helping support continuity and coordination of medical care during hospitalization, rehabilitation, and recovery.
Dr. Rizzo is on staff at Sarasota Memorial Hospital and provides physician care at six local skilled nursing facilities, allowing for continued physician involvement when patients require a higher level of medical support.
Transitional Care Management
Our Transitional Care Management services help bridge the transition between primary care, hospitalization, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and the return home.
This coordinated approach emphasizes communication, medication management, physician oversight, and appropriate follow-up care, helping patients navigate changes in their medical needs and treatment plan throughout the recovery process.
